Heliochronos (2008)

Timekeeper for the sun

Nothing is eternal; there is a beginning and an end to all things. Our sun, the source of terrestrial life will die as well. The life-cycle of the sun amounts to about 10 billion years, at present we are more or less halfway. The hands of a solar lifecycle clock, a Heliochronos, move very slowly. One day takes 10 billion years. So, a bit more that one-hundredth of a second ago Julius Ceasar died. The entire humanity, from first African bones to last humanoid is half a minute on a Heliochronos.
